Because of increase of containers in the 1980s shipyards started building a new generation of container ships (also called Post Panamax). Container cranes, which transfer containers among container ships and the berth of seaports had to increase their output, outreach and lifting capacity because of 16 rows of containers on the deck and bigger transport capacity.

From 1.1.2010, Slovakia will introduce an electronic toll collections on highways and first class roads. For this reason, it will be necessary to develop a matrix system of the toll rates for piece shipments, which would be offset by costs. The aim of this article was to show how the toll of an appropriate amount attributable to the shipment.

The issue to choose correct packaging belongs among important point in supply chain. The aim of the packaging is to protect the goods from transport and environmental stresses. Logistic service providers (LSP's) know the importance of suitable packaging for supply chain procedures as handling, loading and unloading, load securing, warehousing and carriage. Stabile packaging unit is suitable handling unit for supply chain.

The article analyses ecologic processing issues of passenger automobiles after their life time in Slovak republic. The article informs about vehicle scrap distribution according the valid law, describes and schematically presents basic technologies of scrap processing.The article reports brief overview about scrap material evaluation that is suitable for recycling and about treatment of another useless garbage.The article offers in the conclusion the information about requirements for old passenger automobiles processors in term of Ministry of Environment of SR , ISO standards and about intentions for development of necessary processing facilities...

Freight railway transport in CEEC has changed significantly in last 20 years. After political changes in 1989, economic system was shifted. In 2004 and 2007 former socialist countries entered in European Union. The aim of this paper is to analyze development of freight railway transport in CEEC, discuss the reasons of this development and describe current status of freight railway market.

This article deals with continuity of the quality processes in the railway transport and data transmission through traction line. There are defined current systems used in overhead contact lines in the Slovak republic, data transmission in line with high voltage and safety at work with traction line. The article describes advantages of data transmission through traction line and its utilization in the railway operation and monitoring of processes.

Regulation of the railway transport, pricing of the railway infrastructure and other aspects of regulation which can influence competitiveness and conditions of the economic competition are really actual problems. This article defines principles of the transport market and state interference with transport. The article describes draft for computation of the regulation level in the railway transport.

In this article there are described the using possibilities of computer nets WLAN, especially WI-FI nets in the road transport.
